Securing the Top Half of Recreation Ground for the Community

Northwood and Tinkersley Parish Council is delighted to announce that, following several years of negotiations with Derbyshire Dales District Council, a 5-year lease has now been secured for the recreation ground. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the council and the local community.

The purpose of securing this lease is to ensure that residents can enjoy the natural beauty of the area, including a wild grass meadow and an orchid, both of which will be planted at the earliest opportunity. The council’s vision is to provide a space where nature can flourish, and the community can come together.

Commitment and Dedication

Councillor Ragg, chairman of the parish council, along with other councillors, have devoted considerable time and effort over the years to secure this land. Their steadfastness and commitment underscore the parish council’s dedication to the wellbeing of all its residents.

Community Involvement

The Parish Council would like to encourage residents to take an active role in with the new wild grass meadow and the orchid.
